Will aluminum profile anodizing?

It will be anodized

It is divided into two ways: natural anodized and artificial anodizing.

The latter of which can significantly improve corrosion resistance.

Question 1: Aluminum alloy will not rust, why do general aluminum profile need to be anodized?

Aluminum profile is not easy to rust because there is a dense anodized film on the surface. Anodizing is to form a dense anodized film on the surface of aluminum profile through the principle of electrolytic cell.

It is a bit like electroplating, but it is anodized to form a dense film.

Question 2: Will aluminum profile rust after being exposed to water?

1. The corrosion of aluminum profile is the same as the rust way of steel, which will have a greater impact on its own material and strength, but the anodized firm color is transparent will not form the color of rust.

2. Aluminum alloy will be anodized in the last process of production, which is a layer of anodized film will be formed on the surface of aluminum alloy. It can prevent the corrosion of aluminum alloy, which is equivalent to painting the surface of iron material for protection.

The anodized film on the surface of aluminum profile is very fragile. Some hard materials can easily scratch the anodized film on the surface of aluminum profile that causing corrosion.

3. Aluminum profile is generally coated because it is easy to scratch when it is mill finish.

Question 3: Will a piece of aluminum profile anodized if it is placed in water under a sealed condition?

Aluminum is a very active material. Under normal conditions, a very thin anodzied layer will immediately form on the surface of aluminum and protect it from further oxidation.

Therefore, the surface of aluminum we see basically has an anodized layer. And the aluminum anodizing has amphoteric characteristics and will react when it encounters acid and alkali.

After removing the anodized film, aluminum will react with water and can form an oxide film. It is powered and anodized to form a dense film generally.

Question 4: Can aluminum profile be anodized to gold or silver?

Aluminum profile can be anodized to gold or silver after surface treatment. If it turns into gold or silver, chemical anodizing method is required.

Chemical anodizing is to treat the metal surface with chemical medium, anodizing the metal surface through chemical reaction, and form a stable anti-rust oxide film. It is commonly used for aluminum profile, copper alloys, carbon steel, etc.

The treatment of non-ferrous metal parts is called anodizing treatment. According to the different methods used in the process, there are different names.

For example, the anodized treatment carried out by chemical method is called chemical oxidation treatmen.

The anodized treatment carried out by electrochemical method is called electrochemical oxidation treatment.

According to different specific methods, it is divided into anodizing treatment, hard anodizing treatment, etc.

Using different anodized treatment methods, a dense, stable oxide film that is firmly bonded to the substrate is formed on the surface of various materials, thereby obtaining a certain protective performance or decorative performance.
