Aluminum Profile Surface teatment -Sandblasting

Updated: Jun 15

Sandblasting is a process for surface treatment of workpieces. Compressed air is used as the power to form a high-speed jet beam to spray the material (copper ore sand, quartz sand, corundum, iron sand, sea sand) at high speed onto the surface of the workpiece to be treated, so that the appearance or shape of the workpiece surface changes.

Due to the impact and cutting action of the abrasive on the workpiece surface, the surface of the workpiece obtains a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness, and the mechanical properties of the workpiece surface are improved, thereby improving the fatigue resistance of the workpiece, increasing the adhesion between it and the coating, extending the durability of the coating, and also facilitating the leveling and decoration of the coating.

Process characteristics

Sandblasting is the most thorough, versatile, rapid and efficient cleaning method.

Sandblasting can be arbitrarily selected between different roughness, which cannot be achieved by other processes. Manual grinding can produce a rough surface but the speed is too slow, and chemical solvent cleaning will make the surface too smooth, which is not conducive to coating adhesion.

Product Application

Suitable for various LED lighting radiator aluminum profiles, industrial aluminum profiles, automobile modified aluminum profiles, high-difficulty special-shaped aluminum profiles, electronic and electrical housing aluminum profiles, etc., as well as aluminum profile deep processing products.
